Bought new brake blocks as the factory fitted blocks needed replacing after 800 miles covered in 4 months is that good or bad ???? You decide :-)
These brake blocks are ridiculously abrasive.
I installed a set of these along with a new Ryde Andra 30 wheel. By the time the pads needed changing, after only approximately 1000 miles, I realised they have abraded the rim wall by over 1mm each side.
I cycle only on tarmac surfaces. My bike doesn't get mudded or particularly contaminated.
They have good stopping power, but at the cost of a £100 wheel in such a short period, certainly not worth it.
Decathlon really need to review stocking this product.
I’m not satisfied with these brakes. When i brake they won’t stop immediately. It just slows down my bike for 30meters.
Bought during lockdown for my old bike, great value.
Installed in my giant city bike and breaking power is fantastic, good value for money.
I was looking for the brake pads without the stem fittings, but this one will also work. But the others were coming pairs and was cheaper. Hope you will again stock them
Good performance for the money
The idea here is good - a reusable metal holder with easily replaced pads. In practice, Decathlon don't sell the replacement pads, so you'll be looking for those elsewhere.
These we're great, gone through... MANY swapped pads for these. It seems decathlon have stopped stocking the replacement pads though, can never seem to find them in stock. Either buy a bunch with the cartridges as you'll then get your moneys worth or look at alternatives.
They do what they say on tin
