Used to strap surfboard to vertical posts on roof of car. Wide straps good as pressure spread across larger area. Length allowed plenty of times around board. Clasp big and positive so didn't worry about it slipping. Clasp also protected with neoprene padded patch, so ok to have it touching something relatively delicate. Glad we bought it - it worked really well.
